Settling in Sweden

There are various short say visas hat allows stay of 90 days for study, business meetings, tourist, family or friends visit. The National or D-Visa is grated for stays more than 90 days. D-visa holders are allowed a maximum stay of one year in Sweden. Multiple entries are allowed but the stay shouldn't exceed 1 year.

Work Permit for Sweden:
  • A residence permit card is issued before the arrival of the migrant for work purpose. Residence permit cards will have biometrics for security purpose.
  • Documents required:
  • Employment offer letter from an employer in Sweden
  • Valid Passport
  • Wage should be as per Sweden's minimum wage requirements

For contractual employment, the permit is issued for the sae contractual period but to a maximum of 2 years. On completion 2 years, the migrant will be entitled to permanent residence permit.
